Piraterna Motala won against Dackarna Malilla in 6th round of Speedway Elitserien – but the event will be remember for the astonishing on-track brawl between holding World Champion Greg Hancock and Danish 3-time World Champion Nicki Pedersen.

They clashed in heat fifteen and then got involved in fight. Greg Hancock right after a big crash stood up and run into Nicki Pedersen who wasn’t aware of what is going to happen next.

Hancock and Pedersen fight, eventually separated by officials and right after riders went to the pits.

– He does not like to be defeated. That’s when he becomes a madman. I usually do not respond as I did and it takes a lot to annoy me so much. But he has an ability to manage to do it. But it is my fault that I let him do it. But in the end you get enough – said Greg Hancock to mvt.se.

Nicki Pedersen has been excluded from this heat and in re-run Piraterna won 4-2, Greg Hancock was third behind Chris Holder and Michael Jepsen Jensen.

Greg Hancock has been fined SEK 5000.

On 12th of August SVEMO made a decision to ban Greg Hancock for 10-day Elitserien ban. No action was taken against Nicki Pedersen ride.
