Patryk Dudek will replace Darcy Ward in Piraterna Motala squad for the playoffs.

Piraterna Motala will ride against Indianerna Kumla in the semifinal of Swedish Speedway Elitserien. After horrific Darcy Ward injury Piraterna has been looking for the replacement. Darcy Ward came back after 10 month ban in July. Patryk Dudek was without club in Elitserien also because of suspension. Patryk Dudek said that for the official Piraterna website that he finds it sad to get to the squad because of Darcy’s injury, but he is ready to help team to get gold medal for Darcy.

Stefan Andersson said: „Wish it was a dream but its not. Darcy Ward is a racer. Thats why we going to winn gold for him. (..) Darcy wants us to take the gold, that is why we take into Patryk Dudek”.

Patryk Dudek comes in with 1.465 average. Last season he appeared in 10 matches for Dackarna Malilla, averaging 1.81 points+bonus per heat, 1.47 points per heat and 6.30 points per match. He won with 49 other riders and lost to 37. His efficiency: 56.98%.
